その中でも大分県の寒竹家の流れを受け継ぎ、夫婦で弟子入り。
昔からずっと変わらず暮らしの中にあったベーシックなものたちを作り続けています。
The craftsman who inherits the technology that makes a square box from a bamboo using special technique became the slight number even in Japan.He inherited the flow of the Yamada family in Oita Prefecture, and became a pupil with his wife.He is continuing making basic things what existed without changing from ancient times.

OJIRO Masashi was apprenticed under KANTAKE Yuizen, who was called a "last master-hand at making square bamboo ware", and is now making traditional bamboo ware for daily use.

元々豆腐かごはその名のとおり豆腐の水を切って持ち運ぶ為に利用されていました。
竹かごでは珍しい四角い形は、現代生活の中ではさまざまな用途で使われています。 These baskets are named “Tofu-kago (Bamboo baskets for tofu - Japanese bean curd)”, which was originally used for draining the water of tofu and carrying it.
